After an extended hiatus, we are happy to return to active participation in Half-Nekkid Thursday. This photo was taken the day after we rode 71 miles in the Buffalo Bicycle Classic, a cycling fundraiser to raise scholarship money for students at the University of Colorado. Although the temperature that day was fairly cool, the sun's ultra-violet rays are still so intense at this altitude (5,280 feet and up)that a fair-skinned redhead like Sheryl can burn fairly easily. At an average speed of 13 MPH, it took us about 5 1/2 hours in the saddle to complete the ride, which included a challenging climb to Carter Lake.
