Another Party, Another Success

Every swing party is unique even if the core group of people is the same. This weekend's event, the latest in our ongoing quarterly interracial swing parties, lived up to that pattern. Most of the 57 guests (27 ladies and 30 gentlemen) arrived well before 10:00pm, and the party was over by 1:30am. Remarkably, very little mess was made in our hotel suite, which made clean-up a breeze. Alcohol consumption was much lower than usual, which is probably why the suite stayed so clean.

Worst Story Winner

Checkmate - The Last Generation

A swing club in NYC with a "velvet rope" policy to ensure that only the hottest couples and females are allowed to enter. That's how Checkmate wants you to believe they operate. I must admit, it sounded great. Our visit to the club, however, proved that it was anything but high-end and selective.

A Party Primer
